In Class:  Ice Breaker:  Write two things about yourself - one false and one true; Discuss Syllabus; Freewrite:  “How I feel about taking English 101.”

Reading For Next Class:  Syllabus and Addendum, Prompt for Unit 1 Essay (D2L or on blog). In Class:  Answer any questions about syllabus.  Review: Prompt for Unit 1 Essay In NFGW, read the introduction at the top of page 27, then read one of the four literacy narratives that follow in pages 27-42.  On page 42 begin reading with “Key Features/Literacy Narratives and read to “Editing and Proofreading” on page 50.

Writing for Next Class: Write three short summaries of events which you believe are especially relevant in detailing your experiences with and feelings about English Composition.
